Sing with the choir of St Andrew’s Zurich!

The choir of St Andrew's Zurich is a robed, SATB, volunteer choir. St Andrew's has a proud tradition of choral music going back to the 1940s when a Choirmaster was first appointed. Drawing from the rich repertoire of the Anglican choral tradition, we sing the 10.30am Eucharist on Sundays from September to June, as well as a monthly weekday Choral Evensong.

In addition to our liturgical duties at St Andrew’s, we make regular appearances at some of Zurich’s historical churches such as the Grossmünster, Fraumünster, and the Predigerkirche.

The choir possesses a high ambition and ability for choral excellence, at the same time being a friendly and welcoming group. The basic rudiments of music (to read music, pitch a note, and so on) are essential, and some choral experience (singing in harmony, rehearsal technique, etc) is desirable. Many singers join us with limited experience and find that they develop those skills very quickly – enthusiasm and motivation is key!

Singers pay absolutely nothing to sing with the Choir of St Andrew’s.

Everything you need, including printed music and robes, will be provided for as a singer with the choir. It costs you no money to receive an excellent musical training and the chance to perform good music in renown locations - in return, we ask that singers make the choir a priority.

Choir practices are on Thursdays from 7 to 9pm during term time, and we meet before the 10.30am Sunday Eucharist for a short rehearsal. St Andrew's Church is located at Promenadengasse 9, 8001 Zürich, a stone's throw from Kunsthaus, Bellevue or Stadelhofen station.

We are recruiting in all parts,
especially altos and tenors!
