Shaun Yong is a musician based in Zurich, Switzerland

He is a recent graduate of the Zurich University of the Arts (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) where he studied with Tobias Willi (Principal) and Andreas Jost (Improvisation) and finished his Master’s degree in organ with highest marks. Prior to his move to the Continent, Shaun earned the Bachelor of Music degree with honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. There, he studied the piano under the supervision of Mikhail Kazakevich and organ under Stephen Disley and Daniel Moult.

Shaun is Director of Music at St Andrew’s Zurich where he directs the music at Zurich’s only Anglican church, playing services and conducting the robed choir. His research interests include church music, liturgy, and hymnology.

As organist he has given concerts in places in Zürich such as the Tonhalle, Grossmünster and the annual Zürcher Orgelspaziergang. He performed in venues around the UK, including at the Royal Greenwich International Early Music Festival.
